Busy Weekend

This weekend was unusually busy! No lie. My sister and I had to push everything back a day. Because she ended up having to work on Friday night. But on Saturday, we got everything going.

Saturday we spent the day shopping. It was nice to be a customer for a change. There were a lot of holiday sales going on. My sister and I also wanted to buy some stuff for our house. Little by little we are decorating it. We ended up buying all new stuff for our main bathroom. We have dark brown stone tile. And really wanted to lighten up the bathroom. The stone is dark brown with flecks of teal, black, a somewhat metallic grey (almost silver) and white.

After 3 hours, we settled on Nicole Miller's Oasis Ivy Bath Ensemble.

And we bought some Royal Velvet towels and rugs in Peacock.

We spent a little over $300. My sister paid for the towels and shower curtain. I bought the bathroom accessories. We also picked up some white candles at Target. We already had some silver candle holders. And a plant that Lola had given us. The bathroom is now done, and looks nice. Everything is in there, except for the towels. I am washing them right now!

After tons of shopping, we went to La Posta for dinner. The to Coldstones for dessert. By the time we got home, I was exhausted and stuffed! Our shopping bags didn't make it past the front door!

On Sunday we went to the Green Chile Festival. All day long! It was so much fun. We got the chance to spend lots of time with our friends. And made plans to meet at the Wine Festival the next day. There was so much going on around here this weekend! Today we went to the Wine Festival and then over to a friend's house for a BBQ. I stuffed myself with tons of BBQ ribs and all the fixins!

It was an incredibly fun weekend. But very tiring! I don't know how I am going to manage school and work tomorrow. I might have to stock up on AMP and chocolate to keep me awake! But it was all worth it! *Thea*

Friday Fill-Ins

I want to post something weekly. That way I am reminded to post on my blog. Otherwise, I might loose interest. You know, life gets in the way. But I noticed a few friends of mine do this thing called Friday Fill-Ins. I want to give it a try. Fridays are also a good day for me to blog. What I Hear...

Is that blogging is the cool thing to do. I am behind the times here. But better late than never! I will sign up for twitter soon too! Maybe use them more regularly than my MySpace page.

I read a ton of blogs, I just never thought of myself as a blogger. My friends are good bloggers. Regularly educating us all on their adventures in life. I don't live quite as an exciting life as them. Let's see if anyone actually reads this. Or if I am just writing for my sole benefit. But I will give it everything I got! Maybe some people from back home will read my blog.

Right now, I am beginning another semester in school. At what point does it end? I don't know. Lola doesn't either! But we are happy in school. Except for this heat. The summer is never ending around here. It's a good thing that we have J's house to relax at! I should really get my butt to reading for class tomorrow. *Thea*
